01 · FRAME ALIGNMENT

First check whether the frame itself is straight

Before judging the fit on the face, check the frame front for twist.

If one rim is already displaced forward, backward, up or down, the difference can appear as uneven height on the wearer.

The front must be the reference before later fitting steps.

02 · NOSE PAD HEIGHT

Are the two nose pads supporting at different heights?

Nose-pad position can directly affect the vertical position of a metal frame.

If one pad supports higher or contacts with a different angle and area, the lens position can change.

Compare actual contact, not height alone.

03 · EAR HEIGHT

The ears may be at different heights

Faces are not perfectly symmetrical.

If one ear is higher, the same temple shape can still make the frame tilt.

That is why identical left-right temple geometry does not always produce a level result on the face.

04 · TEMPLE ANGLE

Check temple direction and the behind-ear bend

Differences in the direction leaving the hinge or in the bend behind the ear can affect frame height.

If one side supports higher or more strongly, the apparent tilt can change, so compare the actual wearing state.

05 · FACIAL ASYMMETRY

Facial features can also change how level the frame looks

Different eyebrow height, cheekbone shape or nose center can make a nearly level frame look crooked.

Fitting therefore considers both geometric frame alignment and visual balance on the wearer.

CAUTION

The two sides do not have to look identical

If the wearer’s face is asymmetric, the temples and nose pads may need slightly different final shapes for the frame to sit comfortably and appear balanced. The real criterion is the wearing result, not component symmetry.
