The front is the fitting reference

The rims, bridge and hinges are all connected through the front.

If the front is twisted, nose support and temple direction are affected too, making later adjustments difficult to judge accurately.

02 · FRAME TWIST

Small twists can feel large when worn

A frame can look nearly normal on the bench yet place one lens closer to the face or higher on the wearer.

Thin metal frames can change with impact and repeated external force, while acetate fronts can change with heat and pressure.

03 · NOSE FIT

Nose fitting also depends on a straight front

If the front is tilted, one nose pad or one side of a plastic bridge may appear to press more strongly.

Treating that only as a nose problem can compensate for the frame twist instead of correcting it.

04 · TEMPLE BALANCE

Temple pressure is also affected by the front

If the frame is rotated, the temples may travel along the head at different directions and pressures.

Treating that only as a width problem can make left-right balance more complicated.

05 · LENS POSITION

Lens position changes too

When the frame tilts or rotates, the relationship between the eyes and lens centers, wearing height and vertex distance can change.

Stable wearing position is especially important with progressive and high-prescription lenses.
