Start by checking hinge play
Plastic frames also become loose when hinge screws back out.
If the frame wobbles or one temple opens much more freely than the other, inspect the hinges.
Distinguish a loose screw from actual hinge wear or play.
02 · ACETATE DEFORMATION
The acetate may have spread
Heat, repeated use and pressure can gradually change temple angle and width.
Long exposure to high temperatures, such as inside a hot car, increases the chance of shape change.
03 · FRAME WIDTH
Has the frame become wider?
When the temples spread outward, side support decreases.
The frame can slip more easily and feel unstable left to right.

Has the behind-ear bend opened up?
Acetate temple ends can also change shape with heat, pressure and repeated use.
If they no longer engage behind the ears, the frame can move forward more easily.

Storage habits can change the frame
Repeatedly placing glasses on top of the head or storing them under uneven pressure can create left-right differences.
