Asian Fit and Low Bridge Fit are brand-specific design or marketing terms intended to improve fit for certain facial structures. They are not one internationally standardized specification, so the actual frame geometry matters more than the label.
01 · ASIAN FIT
Asian Fit is not a single international standard
What a brand changes under the name Asian Fit varies by brand and model.
Possible changes include bridge or nose-pad size and position, the distance of the frame front from the face, front tilt, or temple geometry.
Two frames labeled Asian Fit therefore do not necessarily share the same measurements or fitting structure.
02 · LOW BRIDGE FIT
Low Bridge Fit more directly describes a low-bridge fitting problem
Low Bridge Fit generally refers to designs intended for faces where ordinary frames lack enough support at the bridge, sit too low, or come too close to the lashes and cheeks.
Bridge or nose-pad geometry may be changed to alter wearing height and clearance from the face.
The exact design criteria still vary by brand.
03 · CHEEKBONE
Cheek and lash clearance may also be considered
When a frame sits low, the lower rim or lenses can come closer to the cheeks and cheekbones.
Some low-bridge designs consider nose support together with lash clearance, cheek interference and front-back spacing.
04 · NOT ABOUT RACE
Actual facial structure matters more than race labels
Korean or East Asian wearers do not all have the same bridge height, width or cheekbone shape.
Likewise, low and broad bridges or prominent cheekbones occur in people from many regions.
Frame selection is therefore more accurate when based on the individual nose, cheeks, face width and actual wearing result.
05 · TRY ON
The final check is still the actual wearing position
Even two Low Bridge Fit or Asian Fit frames can fit differently because their overall size and design differ.
Check bridge contact, wearing height, lash-to-lens distance, cheek interference and front-back frame position on the wearer.
