01 · FRAME ALIGNMENT

Is the acetate front twisted?

Plastic frames can look rigid but are still affected by heat and pressure.

If stored under uneven pressure or exposed to high temperatures, the front can develop subtle twist.

On the face this may rotate the frame or bring one lens closer to the face.

02 · BRIDGE CONTACT

Does the bridge contact the two sides of the nose differently?

Bridge-to-nose contact is important for keeping a plastic frame centered.

If one side sits deeper or only one edge contacts firmly, the frame may not remain stable.

Check whether bridge height, width and curvature match the wearer’s nose.

03 · TEMPLE SPREAD

Are the two temples spread differently?

If one temple sits farther inward or outward, left-right side support changes.

That imbalance can contribute to sideways movement or rotation.

Judge how the temples actually travel along the wearer’s head rather than how symmetrical they look off the face.

04 · EAR POSITION

Different ear positions affect the frame

Differences in ear height or front-back position change the support point of each temple.

Even identical temple shapes can sit differently, so the final result on the face matters more than mechanical symmetry.

05 · MATERIAL DEFORMATION

The shape may have changed with use

Acetate can gradually change with repeated handling, heat and pressure.

Storing the frame with one temple compressed or repeatedly wearing it on top of the head can create left-right differences.
